Hello, my name is Mark Salmon, Director of Ascent Business Directions New Zealand.

I commenced my accounting career 15 years ago with a large accounting firm based in Melbourne. Having successfully serviced the accounting and wealth needs to self employed businesses in Australia, I was approached by colleagues who also had businesses in New Zealand to provide them with the same portfolio of services to the New Zealand market.

Seeing this need, under the Ascent Business Directions banner, we opened the New Zealand office in January 2002. Dealing specifically with business owners and investors we have watched the business flourish. We now have a staff level of over 30 and service a wide variety of businesses, from doctors and lawyers to lawn mowing contractors and mussel farmers up north.

The client philosophy that we had when we first opened the business still remains the same today - to provide wealth for all clients. Having many years of experience and a vested personal interest in the wealth creation and investment industry, we take personal pride in being able to teach our clients the value of money and guide them on what they need to do to increase their wealth, regardless of their income.

We also believe client communication is the key to all business relationships. Through this belief, we have installed in all our staff the culture of providing fast, efficient and a no-nonsense advice to all our clients. We realise in order to have our client's trust we must work for their respect and follow through on promises. We aim to do this with every type of client contact we have.
